UAP Keyless Window Restrictor

The UAP Keyless System Lockable Window Restrictor (White) provides a practical means of enhancing window safety without compromising ventilation. This compact device uses a 20cm hardened steel cable to limit the window's opening to under 100mm, effectively preventing young children from accessing potentially hazardous gaps while still permitting fresh air flow. It addresses common household risks, such as the over 4,000 annual window-related injuries to children under 15 in the UK, many involving those under five, as noted by safety organizations. The keyless design features a simple push-to-lock mechanism that secures the cable without requiring a separate key, and the unit can be unlocked for full access when needed. Constructed with corrosion- and oxidation-resistant materials, it includes four self-drilling screws for straightforward installation on various window types, including uPVC, aluminium, timber, and metal frames. Tested to withstand forces exceeding 1000N (over 100kg on the locked cable), it surpasses the typical 50kg industry standard, making it suitable for ground-floor applications or fire escape windows. For optimal performance on heavier sashes, multiple restrictors may be installed to meet a minimum 35kg load capacity.
